Hatun Q’eros Cultural Center

Our Hatun Q'eros Cultural Center was founded to serve as an economic engine to the entire Hatun Q'eros community through the sharing of authentic Q'ero Culture wisdom teachings, arts and ceremony. Our Cultural Center inauguration on August 7, 2022 in Cusco, Peru began with a fascinating talk by guest speaker, Don Juan Nuñez del Prado, who described via academic evidence the impact of the Q'ero people on Peruvian history. Our guests of honor included the Presidents of Hatun Q'eros Annexes, about eighty Q'ero villagers, and our esteemed Teqse Muyu Paqo Yachay Wasi (Global Paqo School) Faculty led by Papa Don Martin Q'espi Machacca and Papa Don Humberto Sonqo Q'espi, who completed the event with a ceremonial blessing.

Mission

Our Mission is to promote the authentic living culture of our Inka ancestors through the expansion of our Q’ero Cultural Wisdom to the world. Through our Hatun Q’eros Cultural Center we can provide access to traditional ceremonies, healings and demonstrations of our ancestral Q’ero songs, dances, weavings and teachings on the foundation of our way of life: sacred reciprocity with Mother Earth. In so doing we wish to further the recognition of Q’eros as a Cultural Patrimony not only of Peru, but of the world.

Vision

Our vision is to safeguard our cultural identity through the preservation of our ancestral music, Inka textiles, ceremonial and healing practices, and ancestral spiritual wisdom held within the Andean Cosmovision in a participatory manner. By offering this real experience to the world, we wish to spread the knowledge of our existence and the Q’ero Culture as the last Inka Allyu in Peru at the national and international level in order to preserve it for future generations.
